Salsa Dance Classes, Chertsey – What will I do in my first lesson?
In your first salsa dance class in Chertsey, you will be welcomed be one of our friendly teachers. They will put you at ease quickly and get you up on your feet. In every first lesson with Rubies Dance Centre, you can expect to get dancing to music as quickly as possible. In our salsa dance classes in Chertsey you will be dancing to those Latin rhythms in your first week!
Where do I go?
Our salsa dance classes in Chertsey are held in the Revive Café, 95 Guildford Street, Chertsey. We love the relaxed vibe of this venue and think it makes the perfect setting. There’s on road parking on the high street and nearby supermarket car parks if you get really stuck! There are two doors on the left-hand side of the front of the building. Open the one on the right and walk straight through to find your class.
What will my teacher be like?
Rubies Dance Centre is a small, family-run school so whoever is teaching you will make you feel at home. We have three teachers that host our salsa dance classes in Chertsey:
– Neil Eleazar, Head Coach
Founder of Rubies Dance Centre, Neil Eleazar competed at an international professional level. Since his competitive career, he has brought that same passion and dedication to his coaching. Guaranteed to bring out the best in your dancing, Neil will also have you addicted to dancing from the beginning. He brings a fun atmosphere whenever he teaches.
– Ros Berry, Assistant Teacher
Ros began her journey as a competitor in our dance team and reached successive finals in national events at Blackpool. A long-standing friend of the school, she has been trained by our own head coach. She now teaches with the same high standards as you can expect in every Rubies class. Her friendly personality and patience are sure to put you at ease.
– Gina Macintosh, Assistant Teacher
Georgina is a Rubies’ girl through and through. Having started life as a brand new beginner, she found a new love for all things Ballroom & Latin. Trained exclusively by our Head Coach Neil, she knows exactly what it’s like to be a beginner in one of our classes and will make you feel as home instantly.
Who else will be in the class?
We limit class sizes to 16 people so you will never find a crowd cramping your style! Average class sizes vary from 8 to 12 people, depending on the venue and the course. There is always a mixture of couples and individuals so no need to worry if you don’t have a partner. Everyone else will also be a beginner – just like you! Everyone is welcome to our salsa dance classes in Chertsey!
What will I learn in a ten-week course?
The aim of all our social dance classes is to give you the skills to get up on the floor. Our salsa dance classes in Chertsey are no exception. We hope you’ll soon be dancing on holiday or in a London salsa bar! In your first ten weeks, we will teach you the basic salsa moves and rhythm. You will also learn a variety of steps that can be put together in a short routine.

Do you suggest lessons first or do you do a beginners course
Hi Richard. Thank you so much for your comment – we’re glad that you like the look of salsa. We teach authentic Cuban salsa in our school and it’s a great way to learn something some Latin rhythm! You can choose to either take personal lessons or to join in with a Beginners class. All of our beginners courses are designed for those with absolutely no experience.
