What do we do with your information?
At Rubies Dance Centre, we are all about the dancing – and that’s the only reason we would ever keep or use your personal information. Moreover, it’s all we will ever talk to you about.
There are two main reasons we would use your personal information:
- You are currently attending one of our dance classes (or have booked personal / wedding dance lessons)
In this scenario, we will ask for your name, email address and a contact telephone number. We will only ever use these details in order to liaise with you regarding your dance classes or lessons. As soon as you cease to attend your dance classes / lessons, we will delete your details. - You have enquired about our dance classes or lessons.
- If you have contacted us in the past regarding our dance school, we will have alerted you to the fact that we have added you to our ‘Rubies Dance Centre News’ mailing list. For this, we will only have stored your name and email address. Going forwards [as of 25th May 2018], you will need to sign yourself up to the mailing list using this link http://eepurl.com/9l_d9. The sole purpose of this mailing list is to keep you up to date about our latest classes, events and special offers.
Very occasionally, we may collect additional information from you for a specific purpose. For example, if you are part of our competitive team, we may store additional details about you to facilitate competition entries and organisation. If we request additional information from you, we will always explain what we need it for and we will always delete it as soon as it is no longer needed.
Most importantly, we will never use your details to talk to you about anything other than dancing and we will never pass them on to third parties.
What about consent?
If you are currently attending dance classes or lessons with us, you can choose the medium by which we contact you. We will always honour your preferences.
If you are a member of our mailing list, you have the opportunity to unsubscribe at any time. We will never send you an email without giving you the chance to opt-out from future communications. If you wish to unsubscribe in-between mailings or if you would like us to delete any/all of your personal data then please email us using the words ‘opt-out’ or ‘totally remove’ in your email as appropriate.
